Dr Choice Makhetha

Senior Director: Division Student Affairs, Stellenbosch University

Kelebogile Choice Makhetha obtained her Ph.D in Political Science in 2003,  at the University of the Free State, in  the field of Elections and Electoral Systems – South Africa’s perspective. 

She has served in the Office of the Vice-Chancellor at Central University of Technology (CUT) and as Vice Rector Student Affairs and External Relations at the University of the Free State (UFS). She was a President of the South African Association of Senior Student Affairs Practitioners (SAASSAP) for a period of four years.  

While serving as the Special Assistant to the Rector and Vice Chancellor of UFS, she represented on Higher Education South Africa (HESA), which later rebranded and changed name to Universities South Africa (USAf). With a wealth of knowledge and experience, she is highly conversant on issues affecting Higher Education. She currently serves as the Senior Director: Student Affairs at Stellenbosch University.
